Let's go ahead and jump into some alarms and see how we can create those in easy build or 5000.

The first thing we're going to do is come up here and you see I've got this I've got event display alarm display alarm bar.

So those are kind of our tools that we're going to be using to create events.

This is actually where we set up our alarms.

Let's go ahead and we're going to look at we've got different categories of alarms.

So let's click on new and we're going to look at an address type which is a bit because on my alarms I always use bits.

So let's go ahead and just hit OK and take that right out of the box and I'm going to put that down here too so that we can see what both of those things look like.

We are now up and running but we don't have a low flow alarm so we're going to need to create one.

So we really would need to put one of these or both of these on every single screen we create to make sure that the operator is notified on whatever screen he's on.

If that's important to us if we're using really non-critical alarms then maybe it's not a big deal.

So maybe we want to create our own notification system for telling the user that he's got an alarm but this is how the built in stuff works.

It gives us a message it gives us the time and you know you can even add to it and put some interactivity in there like acknowledgements.
